This year has been difficult in many ways and for some organizations, the COVID-19 pandemic has brought on some new barriers.
The Terry Fox Run is celebrating its 40 years Marathon of Hope. This year’s run will be done virtually.
The organization is still looking to raise money to help fund researcher for a cure.
This is very much in tune with Terry Fox as he once said “Even though I’m not running anymore, people should go ahead and try to do their own thing.”
We are encouraged to run, walk or ride wherever we feel most comfortable and at home, with those whom we feel safest with.
It will be taking place Sunday, September 20th, 2020 with the theme “One day. Your way.”
The Terry Fox Run has raised more than $750 million worldwide to date according to their website and the run is observed in Canada and over the world.
For more information, like volunteering, donation, and participating in the virtual run please visit the Terry Fox Run website.
